About the Electron Owners Association

The Electron Owners' Association (EOA) was formed to ensure consistency of Electrons that race, to the same One Design ideals that Des Townson had established.

The main objectives of the EOA is to promote the Sales of Electrons, run and/or assist with Open Electron regattas, and create a communication hub in the interests of all Electron clubs and groups.

The EOA undertakes the promotion and control of the Electron Worlds and the Lady of the Lake Interclub Challenge Trophy regattas.

In the case of the Electron Worlds, that the EOA will call for applications to host the regatta on an annual basis, the following years date and venue to be announced at each Electron Worlds event.

In the case of the Lady of the Lake, the EOA will call for and coordinate the event, held under the terms of the ‘Deed of Gift’, between the holder and two challenging clubs, over a quick fire round robin, followed by a BBQ. The holder of the Trophy will be the host. Two challenges a year is envisaged.

The EOA will assist in the promotion and/or running of other Open regattas if requested.

Only original Electron parts approved by the Licensor and Licensee are allowed at EOA run Open Regattas.

The EOA is run by a committee of nominated members from all known Electron clubs/groups

The EOA is a non-profit organisation funded by sponsorship. If you would like your business promoted on this site, please contact us.
